Description

Blueberries are small blue-purple berries with a mild and slightly sweet taste, they grow on cornflowers. It is also called brimbelle in eastern France and particularly in the Vosges.

It is one of the lightest berries in sugar and calories, and the richest in fiber and antioxidant which gives it appetite suppressant properties, it is very diuretic.             Rich in vitamins C, K and B3, it has antiseptic, anti-diarrheal, anti-hemorrhagic and anti-hemeralopic properties. Blueberry contributes to general tone and supports the immune system.

The Berries can be used in baking, to make jams, syrups, sorbets, herbal teas, brandies, liqueurs or wines.

It can be eaten fresh, dried or frozen.
