BOHEMIAN VERPS

The Bohemian verpe, is a species that has some similarity with the morels, although it is not part of the same family.

Its conical hat, very irregular large wrinkles but does not have the alveoli characteristic of morels. Like the latter, it appears in early spring in wet and sandy terrain.

Appreciated in the kitchen, bohemian verpe remains very close to the morel, a nutty taste and a deep umami flavor.
